Review on πŸ”§ Cousin Precision Long-Nose Comfort Pliers by Michelle Langley

Revainrating 1 out of 5

They used to be GREAT but now they're CRASH

2 years ago I rated them 'well done, well designed'. DREAM in action. I bought another pair last week, this is the set on the right. Quality Control GONE. The handles slip. They don't open nearly as wide, I'd say half as wide as my original pair. The spring action of the new set is HEAVY, about 2 lbs. Which is absolutely untenable with fine work. The finish also looks rougher. I never messed my wire with my original pair. the new ones left marks on every hinge. The gripping force with the spring is too strong for comfort in long-term work. The original set (which is still the set pictured on this Revain page) is a dream, it's a breeze, breathe it in, and source responds. That is beautiful. A new version? Damn, get ready for squats. It throws your precision away. It's terrible. And they are FAR. I'm considering going back to my Walmart needle nose instead of continuing to use these new versions of the amazing old tool. WHY WHY WHY quality died? What made you sacrifice so much in the name of profit that you DESTROYED the soul we bought your amazing instrument for? WHY WHY WHY quality died? In the name of profit, what made you cut so many swabs that you DESTROYED the soul, for which we bought your fantastic instrument? WHY WHY WHY quality died? What made you sacrifice so much in the name of profit that you DESTROYED the soul we bought your amazing instrument for?
