The Tivdio L-258 is a good radio that works well enough and won't break the bank. I like that it has a digital frequency counter with up and down search. This greatly simplifies tuning, especially in the large HF frequency range. The sound is just incredible for such a small device. The ability to play music from microSD cards and flash drives is great. The frequency LED display is nice and bright. FM reception seems really good. AM is fine except for some internal noise (especially below 900kHz), hence the four-star rating. At night I can pick up some fairly distant stations. Locals and semi-locals arrive very well at any time of the day or night. SW is surprisingly good only when using a telescopic antenna. I haven't tried connecting the wire, but I will soon and will report my results. I like the direct access keyboard with large keys that move and feel good. I also like the continuous SW coverage. At $16.99 I would recommend this radio to anyone looking for a decent AM/FM/SW receiver/external media player. Please note that the first radio I received had serious noise problems in the lower half of AM. . I got a replacement for free, and while the replacement still has some noise, it's nowhere near as bad as the first one. (This is important because I love listening to the WGR 550, WFAN 660, and CFZM 740, so every receiver I buy should have them!) I'm wondering if this noise is due to inadequate shielding on the digital display. I'm tempted to open the first radio to look at it. I highly recommend this seller.
