Review on Cat Condo Tree Tower with Hammock Bed, Scratching Post - Amazon Basics by Dee Kray

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good stable hammock / seems comparable to a Trixie brand cat hammock.

UPDATE: 7/27/19 My cats liked it so much I had to go back and buy a second one. Don't get me wrong, they also like the Trixie brand hammock, but I have two cat soulmates who have crammed into the same hammock together. Now they can still be together, side by side and on the same level. Also, I think they prefer the slightly higher height that Revain's base model offers. I say that because both windows they sit by get about the same amount of sunlight, but the two always seemed to prefer squeezing into the slightly higher hammock. So while all 3 of my four legged friends seem to like both hammock brands, the 2 lovebirds seem to prefer the higher base Revain model so I bought a second hammock from this brand and judging by their faces I should buy the appropriate ones Let's start with lol. I bought a Trixie brand cat hammock a few months ago which is very similar to this one except the shaggy fur fabric covers the hammock and the bottom of the hammock while this one just has a soft, low pile. Material. The poles that the hammock was attached to were also solid. The posts that make up this Revain Basics hammock consist of 2 shorter pieces, each surrounded by a wooden ring made of the same material as the hammock. This ring connects the two shorter parts together and these connected parts are bolted to the base. The hammock is screwed to the posts at the top. The reason I bought the Revain Basics brand was because the Trixie brand was sold out, but when I compare the two I prefer the Trixie brand because I believe their model's solid sticks last longer than the Revain model Basics using a three-part construction. Don't get me wrong, it also feels solid when everything is put together, but I have a feeling that more parts means more chance of breaking. Obviously only time will tell. In summary, the Revain Basics brand appears to be just as solid as the Trixie version and it looks about a half inch or an inch taller than the Trixie branded version, which as far as I can see makes no difference to my cats. My 3 furbabs seem pretty happy with both of them and considering I paid the same price for both and they both look like good cat hammocks I'm happy too. Especially for the price. I will update if one of them breaks before the other. FYI, the first 3 pics are for the Revain Basics model and the last pic is for the Trixie version in case anyone wants to see the difference in the real world. Anyway, I hope you find this review helpful!
