I am very picky and did a lot of research before purchasing this model. I tested the model on myself while preparing for the exam, and the computer got very used to it. I have checked the photos and DVD and have no complaints. The large screen is fantastic, NO dead pixels and very sharp with spot colors and NO backlight fluctuations as some reviewers have said. I'm not saying they're wrong. I find monitors to be complex and difficult to manufacture and there seems to be a difference in quality from time to time. I was looking to buy a Samsung 206BW or 226BW but I didn't like the fact that many people in Australia had issues with the Chi Mei panel used in Samsung panels. It put me off buying it, but the Viewsonic panel is Chi Mei and it's perfect. I think with monitors, look at the reviews but in the end you should go to the store and maybe even buy a monitor with a display like I did back then. You know the monitor you have chosen is good. I paid AU$360 for an office job here in Perth Western Australia. Excellent purchase. Another thing I love about this monitor is the speakers (yes, they're good considering the built-in speakers are only 2.5W), the huge base, and the fact that the monitor is a couple of inches is larger than most. The optics and processing quality are also first class. I can't think of any cons either.
