ViewSonic VX2235WM 22-inch Wide Monitor: Crisp 1680X1050 Resolution on a Wide Screen Review

I've had this monitor for 2 months now. He is sharp and clear. I work a lot with spreadsheets and Photoshop and the image quality is excellent. At the optimal resolution of 1680x1050, the fonts in all programs and on websites seem too small to me, but I just press Ctrl + and that's it. Still sharp and clear. I sit in front of this monitor at least 12 hours a day and I love it. The built-in speakers are also satisfactory. I mainly use them for Skype calls and occasionally for media player files.

I bought it for $299 + tax and used it with a Mac mini via a DVI cable. Strong points: +22 inches +price +text is good +graphics and speed +DVI cable included. Costs around $60 Average +/- brightness is definitely enough for my dark office, but I scrolled it all the way +/- OCD Pretty stupid UI (Cons - lousy sound. Don't worry about using it - no direct volume control (but me anyway, huh?) Conclusion: great for web browsing, reading, the price is competitive, I plan to keep it.

I disagree with the person who had the glare issue, I don't see any reflections or anything like that and when the sun shines through the window I have no problem seeing what's on the screen. As I work in graphic design/photoshop/etc I'll start with the bad points as this needs to be said first: 1. The brightness bleeds into the screen at the edges. Only bad if you use a lot of black in design or in games.2. As others have said: there is a problem with uneven brightness, which only gets worse when you look up.
