Strong plastic on my review.
These handles are made out of hard plastic, which is good for outdoors since they won't rust like metal. They are sufficiently sturdy even for an adult. I used longer screws from local hardware store for additional safety.

- Excellent product. Be aware that these are LARGE handles.
Cons
- The blue color may not match with the aesthetic of some playsets, making it look awkward or out of place
