I bought this to get rid of annoying lens checks of the compass on the go in tactical conditions, but two things were missing: 1. Reverse numbering seems good, but if you Tired from two hours of sleep, it just confuses you. 2. Impossible to read in the dark. Does not light to actually read your bearing. Also, the fact that the north-pointing needle is red makes red-lens flashlights useless for a quick compass check. Save money and get a basic NSEW wrist compass that attaches to your wristwatch. It's more useful.
