The instructions were a little tricky as they didn't specify which of the two wires was for the three position switch like most do so I had to plug in, turn on breaker and see if it was the right cable. That was annoying for a switch that cost more than the rest. At the lowest setting, the fan barely moved. Not even as fast as the second hand of a watch. So it's useless. The second speed is what I expected from a low setting. And the third stage is so fast that the ceiling fan itself starts spinning in a circular motion. Maybe I only had an on/off switch because I can only use the second setting and that's not hot enough at night when I really want the air moving.
