Updated: I would give the product 3 stars (detailed rating below) but Anker's customer service is so good I'm giving them 6 stars, i.e. 4.5 stars on average, rounded up to 5 stars. You need to find a product that's right for you, but you can't go wrong with a company like Anker that cares about their customers so well. -------- ----- Design and build quality are excellent. No complaints. We will experience longevity sooner or later. Battery life is exceptional too, great work by Anker. The call quality is excellent. In terms of noise cancellation, these are closed-back headphones with no active noise cancellation. If you can't figure it out, stop reading the rest of the review :) Pairing with the iPhone xr was a disaster, but I managed to use the actual problem I have with sound. My current wired headphones are the Sennheiser HD598, Bose Soundtrue On-Ear, Sennheiser IE80, Denon C710K, Creative Labs Arovara Air (which I love more than anyone else) and Apple EarPods. My current wireless headphones are: Airpods Gen1 (I lost one so I bought Anker); Sony WI1000X that I use for air travel. I'm not comparing this pair of $89 true wireless headphones to the IE80, which is clearly unfair. I also don't compare it to the Aurovara Air, which has a different design. The problem is that I don't know what to compare it to. Resolution seems good, with the "fake grain" often found in overdesigned headsets or speakers. Compressing Bluetooth obviously didn't help either. The soundstage, well I don't know how to describe it. It sank to the bottom of the ocean and can never be found. The real problem is that no matter which profile I select in the app, I don't get any appealing sound. Are Apple Earpods the best when it comes to sound quality? Not really. However, it produces a decent sound that you can listen to for hours and not feel like going crazy. I think the same goes for BeatsX which has terrible sound but isn't uncomfortable. Unfortunately, Liberty Air 2 did not achieve this. When you try to get good sound out of budget headphones by recycling everything, it usually doesn't end well. It's something I absolutely need for my 3-4 hour daily commute - I don't want to spend $250 on a new AirPods Pro and it's great for the price. Still, I want to write this review because what Anker (one of my favorite companies) claims that "rigid diamond-coated drivers reproduce sound with impeccable fidelity" simply isn't true. Accuracy is terrible, which is normal for this price range. Just use a different angle to highlight the product.
