After looking through the offers of SFX power supplies, I decided on the Apevia SFX-400W device, mainly because of the price (I built a cheap file server for media files). The PSU comes with the correct 4-pin/8-pin EPS 12V power connector and is properly connected to my ASUS B450M motherboard. Everything was installed in a Thermaltake Core G3 case and the power supply worked well/quietly for about 3 weeks without any problems. My only complaint is that this power supply does not appear to have any UL or other safety certifications whatsoever. A little worrying, but let's see how it fares in the long run.
