Review on OtterBox Defender Series SCREENLESS Edition Case For IPhone 12 Pro Max - Realtree Edge (Black/Camo) by Jay Blo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty good product, I'll keep mine.

This is my second Otterbox Defender. I was happy with my predecessor and bought a protective case a few weeks after the iPhone 12 Pro Max came out. The build quality of the protector remains high and I'm happy to be able to use my phone without worrying too much if it slips out of my hands on hard floors. I have destroyed 2 previous wearable mobile devices in the last 25 years. (before smartphones) Defender is expensive, so I set the same standards for it. The Defender case no longer covers the screen due to the borderless screen. The front edge of the case is raised by a millimeter or two, so laying the phone face down on a flat surface provides adequate protection. The cameras on the back of the iPhone are raised by about 2 millimeters, so mounting the phone on the back without a case always poses a risk for the cameras. The Defender case raised the case just enough to protect the camera. (good) ---- Though for me as the guy who throws his phone in his pocket along with car keys, loose change and so on. Protection is weak at best. I put on my protective glass and I think the screen is now sufficiently protected. There must be a cover covering the rear camera, metal car keys, coins or tools in my pocket are a hazard to the lenses. However, there is a carrying clip in the protective case which, if you use one (I don't), reduces the attractiveness of the camera cover somewhat, but the camera lenses are still exposed. I approached the problem primitively. 2 pieces of tape in a cross for covering lenses with one end of the piece of tape underneath so I can unhook it when I want to use the camera. Off topic: And for those who tend to love pictures, the iPhone Pro's camera is a huge improvement over my old iPhone 6s. The images captured in low light are sometimes much better than what my eyes see. Very beautiful. If the camera lenses were better protected I would give 5 stars. As it is I will keep the case. But for over $70 out of my pocket when I could pay about $15 for a fake I expect overkill in design, nowhere near great. If you have your own production, release an updated version and maintain a reputation for being the best.
