It's a sweatshirt; this is the second one I ordered, so happy enough with the quality. Fit was good (Large-Tall). The last one I ordered was a Medium-Tall, and that fit closely over a tee-shirt (fine for that), but I like to layer clothes, and often put one sweatshirt over another, and I needed a large to do that. I've only worn them a couple of times, so I have no idea how they will hold up (which is why I deducted a star—not a statement that the quality wasn't the best, just that it's an unknown at this point—I'll need a few years to remedy that).
