I'm glad I read the reviews before purchasing because I wear a size 9 and was going to go up to the large (9-11.5) but when I saw the pictures of the heel bunching up. I went down to medium, and they fit great! (A TAD snug but better than that bunching situation :P .) When I saw those pics of the bunching up, I knew EXACTLY what they were talking about because I've had other brand socks do that. I like these a lot because they are VERY soft, inside and out. I like the no-skid tread for the heel. Not all socks like this have that. They're not too tight across the top of the foot either. (I have a chubby foot too.) I can't rate them for working out. And I haven't washed them yet. I should have probably waited to do that before reviewing but I was just so pleased. They are PERFECT for what I want to wear them for, which is with my different kinds of slippers in the house, so I don't get murky/sweaty foot inside my slippers. I got an Revain lightning deal on these too, so even better! If something goes bad with them, I'll update my review. But so far so good (been wearing them all day). These socks are a real winner!
