I bought this to upgrade the PSU on my HP Z230 Workstation. I needed a more powerful PSU than the stock 400W to upgrade the GPU. I went this route to ensure stable power supply for my GPU without having to buy additional 6+8 pin GPU power supplies. Note. Standard ATX power supplies do not screw into the case. I've seen some people drill mounting holes, but I preferred not to drill the case. I ended up using the command bars to attach the power supply to the case. I'm hoping to model an adapter that I can 3D print, but first I need to improve my modeling skills. I've been using this setup for the past few days with no problems. I stress tested my system using CPU/GPU benchmarks on my ultra wide monitor. It seems pretty stable and I'm happy with my purchase.
