Media could not be loaded. The main problem with this gun is that the digital temperature control is not properly calibrated. Until this is fixed the review will be below. I was working with my cell phone and the gun was heated to 100C. After about 7 minutes, I accidentally touched the hot part of the phone with bare skin and wanted to stab, but was surprised when the phone was warm. To check, I took my grill thermometer and checked the actual heat output, and in fact the actual heat output was just a little over half of what I had set on the gun. I tested the temperature range (50 to 400C) on both low and high settings and the gun's temperature always stayed below (less than) the actual output as measured by my grill thermometer. The video I've attached is actually a replacement. I ordered the pistol after seeing this behavior with the first pistol. If I don't miss anything, I think it's a factory problem. Good things? The heat gun is surprisingly light for its size and feels comfortable in the hand. You can stand it up and hold objects over the nozzle, which makes it easier to heat up. If you want something to get hot just for the relative definitions of hot, then this flawed weapon might be for you. However, I suspect most of us bought this model over the cheaper non-digital thermostat version of this gun to have a fine temperature control setting. I will return both pistols and choose a competitor. Seakone, please fix the thermostat!
