Works exactly like a seal. The only problem is that squeezing out of the tube can be difficult and inconsistent depending on how you apply it. It filled well and easily filled in gaps. I'm not sure how well it will hold up in the long run or how well it will hold up as I've only just started using it. Definitely worth it if you have loose grout or cracks, or if you've cleaned bad grout spots with a wire brush. This keeps it looking new and clean and prevents water from getting behind the tile or into the joints and causing damage.
