I like it. This is nice furniture. The color is darker than the picture but nice. It's more of a dark, deep cherry or mahogany color. It's not a flat color, it has grains in it if you look closely. From afar, however, it's dark chocolate, almost black. It is definitely NOT the color in the picture. It was difficult to put together and I've never had any problems building items. I will try to accompany you in this. Be sure to keep the instructions that come with it and read them along with what I write. My instructions weren't stapled properly and it took me a while to figure out that the first step was on page 3. So read very carefully. Step 1 You can attach the towel rail on the right or left first. I decided against it because mine is in my bedroom. If you want the bar to be on the right (when you face the product), attach it to panel B. If you want the bar to be on the left, attach to panel A. The side with the wood paneling is the outside. Attachment is easy: thread the bar through the wood (panels outward) then put on the washer and then use the nuts on the end that has a bend, inside is the side with no panels, hand tighten and then use a Phillips screwdriver to screw it in. Then insert a wooden dowel in hole B. Then take panel D and turn it so that the side with a small groove aligns with the same groove in panel B. (D is the bottom panel, and the part that dangles is the front. Align them so the grooves are next to each other) B's legs are sticking up in the air (it's not really legs, that's the top of B and that confused me ch a little) You attach two cha by sliding D over the two stop bolts and the dowel. (The dowel doesn't go in tight so be careful not to let it fall out). Once you have the two pieces together, take the SMALL cams and then rotate them so the part of the stop pin that is sticking out fits into the notch in the cam. BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THE CORRECT CAMERA! It wasn't until I had to take everything apart that I didn't realize there were different sized cams. Rotate the cam until you find the point where it feels like it is sitting over the screw. Once the cam is inside, gently turn it with a screwdriver until it is snug. It doesn't take many curves until it's tight. I think from one to one and a half turns. Don't overtighten. Overtightening will not make it stronger. You don't screw anything in, you rotate the cam so that it covers the stop bolt. You have to push it in firmly, but be careful. Then install the small brown plugs on the cams. You don't have to do this, the screws are only visible from the inside, it's up to you. Step 3 The instructions say to take plate G and insert it into the groove. Don't worry, Panel A won't hold up very well there. Step 4. Insert locking pins and dowels into panel A in the same manner as panel B. Attach A to panel D in the same manner as B. The section with a small groove aligns with the grooves in panel D. Before how to properly insert the cams (use small cams!) into the groove. It's a bit difficult to get him in there as he's always trying to jump out. I did it myself but it would be easier with a different pair of hands. You certainly don't need someone to help you if you don't have someone on hand. Part G is the back of the device and the side with the sticker is the inside. Check out the instructions to see how it all slides together. Put the screw covers (cams) in the cams if you like, also this is the inside and you won't see these screws. Step 5 was on the back of the second page. .so read carefully again. Attach the handle to the outside of panel E. The outside is the side with the plate. Step 6. Insert 4 locking bolts into Part C. DO NOT insert anchors into Part C. If you do, they'll fall out when you try to put Part C down, and you'll have to crawl under the sofa to find them. Instead, insert the dowels into the top of parts A and B. Then place panel C onto the dowels and insert the 4 retaining bolts into the holes. There are notches so the letter C fits the small legs. (I thought it was all at the bottom, but it's actually the top of the device). The magnet on Part C is on the front. Once you have part C in place, and BEFORE you've attached the cams, attach the door, part E. This is easy, you just need to line up the little pins in the holes, but if you press part C firmly you will can't open door. Make sure the magnet on part C lines up with the metal part on part E. Step 7 Insert the SMALL cams and press firmly. It's a bit more difficult this time because you have to get in the box and feel it. But you already have a few of these cameras and you're a pro! It won't be that hard. Just make sure you turn them the right way around so they can be screwed on. Up to you on those pesky brown cam caps. Step 8. (Almost done, and it'll get easier next.) Insert the retaining bolts into panel F. This is the top of the device. The instructions don't say anything, but there are three sides with a slight protrusion on Part F and one flat side. I chose to put the flat side on the back, but that will work either way. If you don't put the flat side back, the device will protrude slightly from the wall. Good. Installed these locking bolts. Now insert an F into the legs sticking up. NOW is the time to use BIG cameras. If you've made it this far, you should be left with 2 small and 5 large cameras. (The 2 small cams are optional and there is also an extra large cam.) Insert the large cams into the legs, twist and tighten. NOW you need to be sure you are using those little brown cams, screw caps. These holes are visible. Step 9. This block comes with 4 dark brown wooden plugs to put in the holes for the towel rail that you didn't use. On my device, these plugs fell out every time I tried to plug them in. I have decided not to use them at all. If you have the same problem try some glue and I'm sure they'll stay in. Just keep in mind that if you do, you may find them difficult to remove or you could damage the wood if you later decide to insert a towel rail into these holes. Voila! You're done. I hope this helps the next person put this thing together a little easier than it did for me. I didn't know anything about the different cam sizes until I had to take them apart to fix them. And good luck getting the fake cameras out of those holes after you put them in! It took a nail file, gravity, and a lot of frustration to get them out. As said, make sure you have a small tray. Check the dimensions of this device and find the one that suits you. I had what I thought was a small litter box and it's too big. I was a fool should have measured. I wish I had looked at Revain for one to order at the same time so I'm not sitting here with a nice finished piece but couldn't use it yet. OK, I can wait until tomorrow. Interior dimensions 18 3/4" x 16 1/4". Although this item was a bit tricky to assemble, I gave it 5 stars because it looks good. Hole in the block 7 "x8". Small kittens fit in easily. Not sure about Megacats. (If you know what I mean.) If you have a super-sized cat, I would suggest getting a cardboard box first, cut a hole that size, and see if your kitten fits.
