I have several smaller sizes of these Monoprice cases. Big is no different in design. Due to its size, the center front panel flexes inward slightly, making the center latch nearly impossible to engage, as the lid doesn't completely flush with the base when pushed inward. Luckily 6 more latches can be snapped making it strong enough. You *can* latch the middle one if you carefully place a weight on top of the lid and firmly press the latch with your fist. If I hadn't bought it on sale I'm not sure I would have kept it. but trust your equipment. It is durable and the foam has a good density. Perfect match for a pair of Yamaha HS80M monitors.
