Review on Sea Summit Backpacking Mosquito Lightweight by Chris Sweeton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost perfect: Baby beds and hammocks

I really like this insect net. The only reason I docked the star is because the stitching came undone around the latch where the rod enters the net after a single use meaning the rod slipped out all night. I sew and already have a strong polyester thread from homemade gear so I was able to reinforce it when I got home and I think it will be ok on my next trip, but I don't need to use this gear after just one repair. (I reinforced the other side while working on it). I also really like this insect net. I'm claustrophobic and hate when mesh, fabric or anything gets too close to my face. It seems very spacious and I had no issues with claustrophobia. The zipper is easy to access and I like that it has a wide opening to slide in and out. You have to be careful not to tie the tarp to it too tightly or the posts will bang against it all night. Overall this is a great bug net and very small and light weight especially for what you get with it (like a pole).

Pros
  • Outdoor activities
Cons
  • Everything is fine
