I've used my tablet for Zoom family reunions and doctor's visits on TV and found it awkward at best. During the opening days of the Prime Day Sale, Revain had a sale on this camera. I wasn't expecting much for the low price and when I opened the box and saw the very brief instructions I wasn't too surprised. However, once you plug it in, the camera will show its true looks. It worked great out of the box, no adjustments needed. The sound comes out of the computer speakers and the picture quality is much better than my tablet and there is no need to adjust picture or sound. My family members tell me they immediately see and hear the difference in quality at the end of the call. The only issue I had was that the built in USB cable was too short for my setup and I had to add an extension cord to get to the tower. This is certainly not a laptop problem. If you're looking for a cheap camera for your computer that delivers decent quality, you can't go wrong with this camera.
