Review on ๐ŸงŠ Nextzett Crystal Washer Fluid 92100815 by Carlos Massey

Good chemical cleaner - little problem compared to jugs

Chemically this product is excellent. It works great as a cleaner and doesn't leave a film on the windshield (which I've noticed). I've seen films left by other expensive washer fluids (especially Rain-X or winter fluids, as well as summer fluids like Prestone insect repellent, which is also green and otherwise seems to work similarly). I would say it works as well or even better than the MB Summer Fit (Mercedes-Benz washer fluid which I like and is also sold as a concentrate). The price per gallon of the finished/diluted product is comparable to the cheapest $1.50 washer fluid you can buy (but this fluid works better and seems less prone to wiper blade vibration). My qualifier is that this product produces a lot of suds/foam. if you mix it. Adding concentrate to still water avoids this problem, but makes refilling less convenient than pouring a pitcher into a reservoir (as is the case with other liquids). In practice, you need to know the capacity ("traffic lightโ€ and "completely emptyโ€ level) of your vehicle(s). If you completely drain your reservoir, fill it (99%) with water, and then add this concentrate, you should be fine. If you're filling a partially empty container (like when a warning light comes on), foaming can still occur if you mix the remaining solution with clean water from a hose or jug (then you'll need to refill, of course, to concentrate). A premix may be an option. I use a lot of washer fluid and have shelves in the garage, so I was thinking of a 5 gallon premix that could gravity propel the hose (but that really seems like overkill - even for this geek engineer). This is a good product that I will likely continue to use. However, I could see that some people prefer the convenience of simply pouring the blue liquid into their container from a non-foaming pitcher (especially if you want to top up a container that was almost full before a trip). Information on the internet that tap water should not be used (because of mineral blockages/deposits). I prefer not to worry about that (and if I ever see mineral buildup near my jets, I'll take care of it in due course). Choosing to use distilled water can make this product easier to use, but it is also another step in the filling process.
