Review on Samsung Smart TV Universal Remote Control: Fits BN59-01260A, BN59-01199F, BN59-01178W, BN59-00638A, AA59-00666A, AA59-00741A, BN59-01259B by Brenda Hobbs

This remote does have some basic functionality but not nearly as similar as the original Samsung remote. Basic performance, volume, channels and navigation work, but in their infancy. The original remote communicates with my cable box and the Samsung Smart Hub apps, but it doesn't, and there's no way to pair them, which I've had great difficulty finding online. I also noticed that this remote is for "line of sight" only. That means it must have an unobstructed view of the TV's IR receiver. There is no original and it even works under covers or at an angle or even turned backwards. For the price, this remote is worth the money. Just be prepared for limited functionality.
