I love this bedside bassinet. More importantly, my baby loves sleeping in it! It’s great being able to have your baby within reach and see them sleeping soundly next to you. I’ve used portable bed bassinets before, but they take up a lot of space on the bed and if you have a partner sharing the bed, it makes for difficult conversation. So the bedside bassinet is the perfect solution. So when it arrived, it appeared to be mostly assembled, and it was. There are only a few bars you have to install, for the most part. However, the instructions are not very helpful. They don’t explain how to attach each part. In fact, there’s still a piece that I never assembled because it wasn’t even mentioned in the manual. The whole process took longer than putting a bassinet together from scratch. That’s the only reason that I took a star off. I have not disassembled it yet, and am not looking forward to doing it; but it comes with a carrying bag and really isn’t composed of very many pieces. It’s easy to adjust the height, and once you do, you can pretty much keep it there. The legs are adjustable so that you can get it as close to you as possible, which is really nice. It has wheels and locks. It’s easy to simply push back, away from your bed when you’re not using it. It’s very sturdy and seems larger than a regular bassinet. The material containing the mattress has sturdy snaps that keep the mattress from moving (but you have to figure out how to do it by yourself, since the instructions do not explain how. It’s essentially a hook that pulls through the fabric and attaches to a bolt on the frame.).I would feel comfortable using this past six months, even though the description recommends ages 0-6. The side wall comes down and goes back up easily. It does make an audible clicking sound when you reattach it, so if you have a light sleeper, be mindful of that. I like how even when the wall is down, there’s still about six inches that stays up, leaving a small partition between you and your baby for safety. You can also attach a mobile to the side. So, in short, I love the convenience, comfort, and peace of mind that this bassinet brings. I believe it could stand up to any of the other bedside bassinet out there.
