I apply three layers and after the first cup of coffee it fades from the center but leaves enough streaks of color that I wear my regular lipstick over it, although it doesn't say so. In combination with Clinique Long Wear Lipstick it lasts up to 18 hours. It's a little hard to decide which colors, but I have four favorites and use them regularly. Tingle. Has a scent. Sometimes it dries out a bit quickly in the tube and the sample often doesn't fill up, but it can last a good six months with daily use. I only use ink. Other formulas are sticky and unsightly. Lots of weird colors to choose from.
