If you've ever had a Vellux comforter you know how thick and soft it was - it's not the original comforter. First I opened the plastic bag and the first thing I saw was a hole - in one place there was no herd. Even without taking it out of the box, I saw that it was really thin and the fibers were completely different from the original. Do you remember thick plush fibers? Well, now it's just thin, spiky flocked fabric. You know those cheap bows you see on spiky Christmas velvet? Here is the ceiling now. I can't even imagine trying it even once - I'm sure it will fall apart even after washing, judging by its looks. Save money and buy a plush mink blanket instead. Return it as soon as possible.
