The product arrived quickly and matched the written description ("vents" in product photo were cosmetic and not actually vents). The body looks solid enough. There is no side-to-side play or significant edge-to-edge play in the case, but there is a gap of about 1/4 inch between the hard drive and the top cover when the case is held on its side or when it is flipped over When moved to a new location, the drive may move and stress the SATA connection. As such, you'll probably want the case to stay flat and supported during use, unless you want to stick a small 1/4" washer under the top cover on the end opposite the SATA connector to reduce play . There are actually only a few tiny vents, and the case is made of plastic, which doesn't conduct heat well. After 2 hours, my hard drive was running at 44 degrees Celsius with a room temperature of just over 20 degrees. When I opened the cover 1/2 inch, the hard drive's temperature dropped to 42 degrees. If you live in a hot climate or want to keep your drive cooler you can remove the top cover and/or add a laptop fan while the external drive is in use. I have a couple of factory desktop drives and a couple of hard drives in Plastic or aluminum cases that get hot even without a fan, so this seems to be a common problem that the user just needs to be aware of.
