As we needed this to hide a post surgery scar on our Miniature Schnauzer I bought her a size larger than usual. It was important that there was enough space between her skin and the tissue so that the tissue didn't irritate the skin in and around the scar. This t-shirt didn't do that at all; In fact, we didn't put it fully onto our mini because it was already tight in the shoulder area, just above the scar. We immediately stripped off her clothes, I put them on top of the "Shelter Donation" pile - going back to the rather loose but somewhat tattered t-shirt she wore at the vet clinic.
