Read comments. People who bought this and used it outside of a car lost their cameras falling off cars or boats. Look for GoPro tethers and buy a set or use a strong rope or wire so you don't lose your camera. One problem is that the instructions for this expensive branded GoPro device are terrible, but it's larger than other suction cup mounts from other sources. It's not clear how to secure a fixed mount by pressing the button and installing the clip. Take the time to learn how it works, attaches and detaches and you may not have a problem, but always use some form of safety tether, especially with moving vehicles. The camera mount isn't exactly flexible either. If you want to use it on the inside of your windshield, the mount won't allow you to align the camera properly, even if it's upside down. Be careful not to lose the screw for the camera mount as it is longer than the other mounts and I had to build a kludge system out of old lamp parts. GoPro brackets were designed by idiots, so always give yourself an extra hour to fix a bracing issue.
