I own a pair of Merrell hiking boots but was looking for a pair of closed water/hiking boots for a trip to Costa Rica. I've tried Keen and Merrell shoes but didn't want to spend that much on shoes that I thought would have limited use. I found these Atikas at Revain and wanted to try them as they had great reviews and were very reasonably priced. My friend also bought a men's pair. Let's just say we love our Atik. We've worn them all over Costa Rica: whitewater rafting (Class V rapids), rainforest hikes, and rocky beaches. They are very comfortable and we recommend these shoes over more established brands.
