Longtime fan of Braun shavers, have used them for 35 years. When Braun introduced the first automatic cleaning system, I bought it immediately. Any doubts I had about their "Clean and Renew" system soon dissipated and the cost of the cleaning cartridges soon became negligible compared to how well they kept my blades and razor head sharp, perfectly clean and fresh. After upgrading to the Norelco Sensotouch 3D, I can't say enough good things about the Norelco Clean an Charge Station. This is sensational ingenuity and the kid in me never tires of watching him raise, lower and tip the razor into the solution. I use it after almost every shave and it's like waking up to a new razor every day. It's a little soapy compared to Braun's alcohol-based cleaning of residue when lubricating the blades. If soap residue accumulates, especially after long-term use, it should be removed by briefly rinsing under hot water. It definitely works well and compared to the cost of Braun cartridges it's a steal. I used up the bottle that came with the razor and ordered a few refills of the same solution and one from Cool Breeze. Both work equally well, but to my nose there is absolutely no difference in smell. Not that it matters. , it's not a cologne, but I don't understand why it's called "Cool Breeze". In terms of results, the solution is very effective, the blades and foils come out shiny and exceptionally clean, which means longer blade life and less head changes - at least I hope so. Cleaning solution is hard to find in stores - even those who have my razor do not have it. It's a big plus that Revain is offering this cleaner at a reduced price.
