Unfortunately, this does not separate the gear oil from the ground beef. I don't care that Kitchen Aid says the oil is food safe. It looks and smells like 10W-30 Quaker State and I won't find out how it tastes. I have to assume that these are microscopic metal particles from the gears in the mixer. JUK!
