I ordered this in August and intended to use it for a few months before writing a review. I didn't have the problems with him that other people had. No emptying problems and the red light never goes out. One reviewer stated that her water container had a plug that you drained the water from. Not sure what she's talking about as the entire top comes off to drain the water. I used this in a 14 x 14 bedroom with attached bathroom (5 x 8). My problem is that things haven't dried. For example, a freshly washed bra or towel dries on a hanger after a shower for almost 2 days. And mold was growing on some bottle caps in the shower. I'm not sure what the actual humidity was in my house. But this halves the drying time. In addition, of course, I could see the water in the holder. Had to empty every 3 days. I ran 24/7. It has now been removed for the winter as our gas heater is drying out the place. The irony is that in winter I have to use a humidifier.
