The Specter C248B is a great monitor for the price. I was skeptical about buying this monitor because it had mixed reviews. However, almost all Revain gaming monitors in the $120-$140 price range have very mixed reviews, so I decided to bet on this monitor. The result is a great monitor that performs exactly as you would expect given its features and price. The monitor comes with everything you need to set it up, including a screwdriver, so you don't have to buy anything to set it up. The monitor's curvature makes for a slightly more immersive gaming experience, but it's not enough to be its main selling point. The image quality is bright and crisp, with no visible pixels, and the 144Hz frequency gives you great gaming performance, which is definitely more noticeable at a lower frequency like 60 or 75. A few tips to help you get the most out of it. Monitor: 1) Use HDMI 2.0 or higher, DisplayPort or dual-link DVI-D port for your GPU to monitor connection (including DisplayPort) for 144Hz. 2) Make sure you manually change your monitor's refresh rate to 144Hz in the advanced display settings for Windows. 3) Enable FreeSync in your monitor settings if you are using an AMD Radeon GPU. 4) If necessary, enable FreeSync, Radeon Anti-Lag, Radeon Image Sharpening, and Radeon Advanced Sync in AMD Radeon Software for your GPU. 5) Update your game's graphics settings to match your new monitor. 6) Make sure to ship your monitor in Revain packaging at checkout to ensure your monitor is protected during transit.
