Review on πŸ“· PolarPro QuartzLine 82mm CP Camera Filter: Enhance Visual Quality with Circular Polarizer Filter by Nick Ross

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent fitting, great color rendering and cuts off glare perfectly!

This is the second PolarPro filter I've bought, the first of which was also the wonderful ND8PL! However, this filter is much more useful as I rarely use a tripod, so the more light collected is huge for me! I use this primarily with my Nikon 24-70mm f2.8E VR lens and plan to use it with my 16-35mm f4 VR with a boost ring from time to time as well. I'll never use my ND8PL again as it absorbs at least 3 stops of light and I'm not a fan of tripods so this CP is amazing and with great VR on the new 24-70mm I can get sharpness. 1/10 second shots all day long. I also like the build quality, presentation and look of these filters. They are definitely worth every penny and beat the competition in almost every way. One downside, and this is very important to me, is that you CANNOT use a lens hood with these filters. None of the lenses I've used allow the aperture to slide on the jagged edges of the filter, which is a real disappointment. I use lens hoods 100% indoors or out and in any light, day or night. Well I hate that about these filters but as they are great anti glare and which you can't do without a hood but that's just part of it the main purpose of the hood is to protect the lens.
