It has motion detection and the picture quality is really strong. Both day and night vision are clear and the range is quite long, the spec says around 60-80ft and I'd say that's pretty accurate. The body of the camera is very durable, the plastic is very thick and hard, and the device is waterproof, making it suitable for various weather conditions. It runs on standard batteries, you will need six AA batteries so make sure you have them on hand. You will also need a memory card, which is not included in the scope of delivery. There are many pricier options out there, but this one is simple, reliable, has great recording quality, and comes at a great price.
