I have an iPhone 6 in a rescue case with a battery and it barely fits in the pocket. But to be honest my phone is thick and heavy so it probably fits regular and thinner phones. I bought this to have access to my phone on my mountain bike and a little extra storage for money, route maps, etc. The case allowed me easy access to my touchscreen, so it gets points for that. On the first descent, however, this case broke and my cell phone flew onto the track. complete failure. The only reason I'm not giving it a star is because it was a very bumpy descent and this case was under quite a bit of stress. If you're driving on flat pavement with a regular sized phone, I'm sure this will work. Just keep in mind that it's not hard enough for any mountain biking.
