Review on Consumer Electronics Performance Shortwave Furniture by Mitch Emmel

I received this product with high expectations as suggested by the seller. As a radio amateur, I have considered using this balun as part of my portable QRP radio station. The materials are really very poor quality. As with the balun, even with an antenna tuner, it was almost impossible to tune it to the transmission bands. when working with 50 watts it started to smoke, almost burned out, i have 30 years of experience with all kinds of radios and repeaters. I have never seen a product of such poor quality in detail and performance. Maybe usable for a radio receiver or scanner, but not for transmitting. I respectfully do not recommend this, my experience was not very good. I put my RF gear at risk with this balun.
