Update** One of the pins is off-center and unusable. The concept of this toy is great, the design is the opposite. There is a lack of quality here, we will be back. These pieces look like they are 1/8" thick pressed wood with wooden pegs. In the first 5 minutes my 3 year old broke off a piece in the hole, I super glued it in place so hopefully it will hold. They appear to have been spray painted to have been painted as only the surface layer is painted and not fully saturated. The perforated panel is entirely untreated wood, it would be nice if it were also painted or glued. The price seems a bit high to me for this quality. Conveniently I would say about 6 pay $ for it.
