Review on πŸ›‘οΈ Lippert 134993 RV Carpet Protection: Introducing Slide-Out Slicker! by Tsuyoshi Tendencies

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product to keep your floors looking perfect!

I installed a new Pergo floor in my 5 wheel trailer because the old floor was scratched when moving the rails on either side of the kitchen island. It looked awful so I took out all the base cabinets and put in a new pad and shelf. These retractable slippers prevent scratches from reappearing on a new floor. As mentioned, they are designed for carpet, but will also work on hard floors if the pointed protrusions are clipped off the bottom of the hard floor shoes. There is a soft foam pad around the perimeter that keeps it in place, as well as a lip that grips the floor in front of the slide and prevents it from slipping under or being pushed out from under the slide. I ended up buying 4 pairs to keep my new Pergo floor looking great. 3 skis under a 12ft slide and 4 skis under a 16ft slide. I am very happy with these panties. They're thin enough (about 1/8 inch thick, including foam at the bottom) to effectively raise the retractable floor just enough not to scratch the floor, but not so high that they impede sliding work. I'm a lucky guy. They're expensive, but what other choice do you have than these raincoats to avoid scratching hard floors? I am now using them on two quintet trips for 3 weeks each. They work as expected. Buy with confidence and no, I am not affiliated with Revain or the slipper makers.
