It's gardening season so I risk my Subaru keyless fob falling out of my pocket while I rake and rake and saw. The chances of finding a black keychain among leaves and loose dirt are almost nil, so I braided a colored cord around it - an improvement, but a red jacket is even better. Very flexible plastic jacket; To install it, simply stretch the larger hole to fit the key fob. It is tight-fitting, tailored, as compact as a jacket can be and is comfortable to hold. The badges on the jacket's buttons are much clearer than on the key ring itself and are also embossed. The plastic seems durable although I don't have much of it to guarantee this. It is possible for the printed badges to wear away over time, but the embossing remains and that was all that was on the key fob. These jackets are what I could have hoped for, except that Subaru even offers colored keychains. I'm not sure they have any "protective" value as the keychains are strong, but they make it a lot easier to find the keychain around the house and yard.
