It takes time to master.
Of course, it will take some time to become familiar with this device. I had never waxed or sugared myself before so it was a bit difficult the first time. I made a little mess, got sugar on my hands and on the floor. I put it on against the growth of my hair and tore it off with it. That worked reasonably well. It took a few passes but I was able to remove most of the hair in the end. I've tried it twice so far and it was less messy the second time, so I think it gets easier with practice.
