I'm a keen muffin, muffin and cake maker so this muffin and muffin stand comes in handy. Haven't used it for cupcakes or cupcakes yet but I've used it a few times to hold different cupcakes. The lid fits snugly and leaves a little room for air to circulate to keep the cake from condensing or mold inside. Side latches fix the practical cover perfectly with two plastic handles at the top for easy transport. There are marks on the bottom for slicing the cake into 12 pieces, but you can easily estimate 24 pieces by cutting them halfway between the marks. Ideal for holiday events. The muffin/cupcake holder can hold 11 cupcakes, which means you'll have to eat one if you're baking a dozen. Not difficult since you have to try it first before suggesting it to other people, right? If you want to fit more cupcakes, you can skip the cupcake rack and just place them directly on top of the cake. I think you could stuff the 12th cupcake this way. I ordered the blue color and it is beautiful. The lid is opaque so you can see how much cake you have left inside, but it's not clear enough to count the pieces.
