Review on AwesomeWare SVT DBRLBR2A Non Slip Washable Placemats by Javarie Brumfield

I was drawn to the idea of this lunch box but some of the reviews/price bothered me. I buy cheap lunch boxes because my son throws them away. He always forgets to take out the trash and leaves me with a gooey yogurt mess. So. Rough. I'm glad I took the plunge and bought it. In terms of size, for a kids backpack I would recommend a normal size or even a smaller size. It takes up significantly more space than a normal lunch box because it is taller. The zippers do not close completely. Some people mentioned a gap above, but it's not an open hole for something to crawl out of. There is enough material etc to cover it. I've put a cooler bag in his lunch every day and nothing has overheated or fallen out. My 9 year old has no problem closing/opening it on a flat surface. This is another reason why I recommend the smaller sizes, if he's making a good lunch pad at school, anything larger will take his neighbor's place. As for cleaning. oh how nice that you can lay it out on a flat surface and wipe it clean! He hasn't made a huge mess yet so I haven't tried tossing him in the laundry but love the fact that I have that option!
