Review on Nagoya NA-771 SMA-Male 15.6-Inch Whip Dual Band (144/430Mhz) Antenna for YAESU, Vertex, TYT, and Wouxun Radios by Vishal Geske

Baefeng Tech's manufactured Nagoya antenna is defective and Baefeng Tech will not honor its warranty!

Antenna purchased on February 1st, 2021 for use with a previously ordered Yaesu FT3DR. When the radio finally arrived and tried to mount the antenna on the radio, I was surprised to find that this antenna was screwed in with only 1-2 SMA mounting threads. There was a gap of at least 1/8 inch that the included sealing washer didn't fill properly. It was not attached as securely as the Std Yaesu Rubber Duck antenna. I also tried a friend's diamond antenna and it installed correctly. I contacted a Baefeng Tech seller to request a replacement for this manufacturing defect (it was outside the 30 day window that Revain would accept a return for a replacement). Baefeng Tech refused to take responsibility and will not solve the problem. They suggested I contact Revain. It wasn't Revane's problem! It was a manufacturer issue and they refused to fix it. WARNING IF YOU BUY FROM BAEFENG TECH YOU WILL NOT MEET YOUR SO-SPECIFIED WARRANTY. Now I'm stuck with a Nagoya antenna (701) from Baefeng Tech, which doesn't match the industry standard SMA connector used in major brand HT radios.
