Great portable power option!

Recently I was looking for a portable inverter for my car and caravan. Found a Potek 500W inverter here by accident and decided to give it a try because of the price and because it looked like it would get the job done. Of course there is a 1000W inverter; However, I don't need anything with that much load on my battery and I'm currently happy with 500W based on my personal needs. If you are on the road, then the inverter is just right for you. I won't pretend to know enough about electrical connections or currents to sell you this in my review, but I will present how I will and have used it and you can decide from there. . I don't have a great understanding of electrical systems so I'm a bit disappointed. But as a "regular user" this review may help you as much as it did me! Here are some specifications for those interested: Input voltage: 12.8-13.2 volts DC (VDC) Output voltage: 110-125 volts AC (VAC). ) Output frequency 60 Hz +/- 3 Hz Continuous power output: up to 500 W Wave form: modified sine wave Efficiency (maximum): 90% Output power at overload trip: 550 +/- 50 W Fuses: 30 A (x2) 2 NEMA AC sockets x 1 USB port (2.0A) Can be connected to either a battery (e.g. Auto/Deep Cycle) or an optional 12V plug. Okay, now that the specs are settled, let's just talk about how the device works and what it looks like. I like the look of the device, as I mentioned earlier, because it felt like it would get the job done. I like that it looks professional and not very big. In fact, the device is smaller than the typical amplifier you see in a car for an audio system. In addition, the device has four small notches in each of the bottom corners so that it can be mounted flush with a wall or other device, e.g. B. in a car, trailer etc. I will most likely mount mine on a wooden block, easy to install with my battery on my trailer and in my car in case I need to use it. The device works very well and is very quiet. I've had other inverters turn on the fan for 30 seconds after being used; However, this device does not turn on the fan for long even under a decent load (not full). My guess is that if I maxed out the power output when I first turned on the device, the fan would most likely turn on immediately. I love that this unit has two NEMA AC outlets as I can plug in my laptop and phone charger which requires anything over 2A. For example, I use devices that use the fast charge feature and for that I need a charger with more current, so connecting two devices to NEMA ports is convenient. Also, with less effort, I can charge a bluetooth headset or other device via 1 USB port (2.0A) (e.g. cheap tablet, bluetooth headset, speaker, portable wifi hotspot, Nintendo DS, etc.). Overall, I couldn't restart the device during use. Although I don't necessarily recommend it, I was able to plug an extension cord into a NEMA port and run my electric drill on my battery (this isn't shown as I didn't have my mobile device with me during this use). This was a great example of how I can use this inverter as a last resort when I need a power source and all I have is a battery. It works well, it's quiet, it doesn't get too hot, it's easy to hide in a compartment or under a seat - don't forget it can be installed if needed! I am very satisfied with this device. During that time I kept it in the trunk of my car so I could use it as a last resort in case I needed to connect to a power source without being nearby. I travel a lot for work and am constantly on the move, which means I'm not always close to a power source sufficient for my needs. As such, this device provides a much-needed connection point when I'm on the go for long periods of time. Also, it's great for camping as an extra port or in my shop that isn't connected to the mains. If you need a portable power source, look no further!
