I have tried 3 different car chargers that use suction cup technology and this is the only one that has survived in the Florida sun. I am able to charge my LG phone very quickly while others who reported only received a normal charging indicator. I like how it opens automatically when there is a phone nearby, others have a button to open it. The arm has a little less articulation than the others, but the fewer moving parts also make it firmer and less springy. I don't like the glowing battery icon behind the phone. This isn't a problem if you have a phone, but if for some reason there's a light on that can't be turned off. I took a piece of black tape, cut it to match the lantern and glued it on. This did not affect the charging process in any way and eliminated the light.
