Not very tight and definitely not chew or urine resistant

I have working leashes for German Shepherds. I've had a few that required a really thick, bulky bed. it sure isn't. However, my current 3 don't rip the beds so it should be fine and the material is about standard thickness. It was easier to put together than many as you don't have to put your arms and back through the holes, you zip them up. Much more convenient. After putting your hands in and back in, insert the egg foam pad and zip up the other. The egg foam pillow isn't particularly thick, and if you know anything about it, as you add pressure, like stepping on it or lying on it, it sinks and sinks. Ultimately, then, this supplement is not tight at all. It's better than my dogs lying on the floor in the kitchen where I have one, but the previous dog bed I've had in this location had a much firmer pillow that didn't press against the floor when you squeezed it . I think that will do. What I like best is the optics. My kitchen has a lot of gray and black checkered patterns. The bed looks great on it. And 2 of my dogs are black and the dog hair should show up a lot less on this bed than on the previous cream bed. not to mention dirty paw prints. In general I am satisfied. The only bad thing (for a non-destructive dog) is that there just isn't any hard, dense padding underneath. It also doesn't have waterproof protection against the inner foam if you have a dog with bladder problems. Luckily I don't have them at the moment, but with age they can often have them. I ordered the X-Large Sofa and it fits my German Shepherds. It is written that the size is 44 x 34 inches.
