My wife bought these for her upcoming surgery as we knew she wouldn't be able to shower for a week or two. I used at least three of these on her during her "no-shower" phase. Her hair is shoulder length. You put a hat on yourself or someone else; Make sure all hair is under the cap. Gently massage the cap and move it around. After a few minutes, remove the cap; Make sure all areas are cleared; comb your hair to keep it from getting tangled; Gently remove excess damp product from hair with a dry towel. Comb again and you're done. Hair looks shiny, looks clean, smells clean. Note: some reviewers were disappointed that in the shower with water etc their hair didn't feel as clean as real shampoo. This is NOT a fair comparison for this product. He doesn't promise beauty, he promises purity. Last year I spent 10 days in the hospital due to severe bilateral pneumonia. After 5 days the nurse asked me if I would like a shampoo cap which I had never heard of. I can attest to feeling like a new person after using it and that's the point.
