Review on Nintendo Switch Ring Fit Adventure: Unleash Your Fitness Journey in NSW (EURO) by Bhavin Patel ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent product, the best quality.

TL;DR: for me, the game is definitely a must-have, the very exclusive for which it is worth taking the Switch, no Zelda and Animal Crossing were even close by the pleasure that I got from this game. Somehow I got a burning desire to start monitoring my health and weight (the pandemic, like many others, left its mark), but to do it in a form that is pleasant for me. I found out about this game and decided to buy it together with Switch (I took a prefix + game set in Amazon for 27990). And I have never regretted it: this is one of my most pleasant purchases, which has changed my lifestyle. I have been practicing every day (with rare days off) for a little over a month, while there is no desire to stop even a drop, on the contrary - I want to pump myself both in the game and in reality. The kit comes with a ring that the right joycon is inserted into, and a leg band for attaching the left joycon. As described in the pros, the quality is at the highest level, now they are indistinguishable from the original appearance. Nevertheless, I got so attached to the game and everyday training that I took the second set separately "just in case" - I'm afraid that if something still fails, then like a drug addict I won't be able to wait long for the delivery of a new set :) In the game itself, it is possible to move forward along the adventure branch or do separate workouts from any exercises (there are sets for certain muscle groups). Exercises in the game are divided into 4 types: arms, abs / body, legs and yoga. You can create a challenge for yourself by performing only specific techniques, or you can combine exercises for efficiency in passing the game (my choice). I was afraid that in this case there would not be any significant payload on the muscles - the training turns out to be unstructured, but I was wrong: in the adventure, the levels gently lead to a change in the exercises performed, and even performing the whole assortment still has a positive effect on the load: the muscles ache and the sweat is pouring down. I lost 6 kg in a month and overall became fitter. I could write a lot more good things about the game, but I have already reached the limit :)

Pros
  • + An interesting combination of adventure-RPG and fitness games. Tightens and does not let go, which prolongs the time of classes + I am not a professional athlete, and not even an amateur, but the exercises in the game definitely have a good effect on health, over time I began to feel better and easier to endure training, and also reduced my own weight + High duration of the main game and variety of content. At the time of writing this review, I've been playing a little longer than a month every day - and apparently I haven't even reached the middle of the game, and new "chips" are still appearing (like new enemies or an expanded skill tree) + Of course, it is worth saluting the convenience and operation of devices: here is a high-quality and durable ring (at first I was afraid to break it, squeezing it hard, but then I saw reviews where it was compressed and stretched by mountains of muscles, but it still takes its original shape), and as much as possible a comfortable bandage on the leg (there were also doubts that it would fit on my rather thick leg - but everything fits like a glove, despite the fact that it is just as firmly attached to thin legs), and the joycons themselves: for the most part, they accurately track the exercise, in which case they are easily calibrated and even measure the pulse after training (!); here it is worth recording a well-chosen vibration, which helps to understand how correctly you perform the exercise + The adaptability of the game itself and its positive attitude: the complexity of the exercises can be changed at any time, there are always hints and instructions on how to complete it, the game itself will always tell you when it is possible to finish the current workout, give nutritional advice, warm up and hitch, and sometimes exciting quiz + In addition to the previous one, I would like to note that the game tracks your progress and does not get tired of rewarding you with titles, praise and awards for this. The first time I was very surprised when at the end of the training they patted me for the victory over the first boss - it motivates me to keep practicing
Cons
  • I’ll point out right away that I’ll describe the shortcomings here only so that there are at least some, in fact they don’t interfere in the least with enjoying and benefiting from the game. - Rare motion tracking issues. It seems that the game is tailored for people of average height (the Japanese did it all the same): with my not the largest 190 cm, I have to bow much lower than the indicated position, similarly, raising the ring up counts somewhat in advance of the real lifting (it is felt when doing yoga exercises, where you need to do the rise slowly ) - The non-obvious path along which the hero runs, because of which sometimes you do not collect coins / experience / ingredients, because you think that you will collect them with a machine gun, but right in front of them the hero turns off - Lack of 2022 localization. This does not prevent me from playing at all, but the game has wonderful quizzes on the name of the muscles, as a result, you know what the muscles are called in English, but you can’t even imagine in your native language (except for the obvious triceps-deltas)
