I wanted to defer reviewing this device until I could test it thoroughly. I raise dogs for a local animal shelter and the easiest and cheapest way to make beds for small dogs is to use inexpensive bed pillows and pillowcases. I bought them as a barrier between them so the pillow wouldn't be destroyed if there was an accident at the orphanage. They are truly waterproof and have passed the test of urine, diarrhea and vomiting. They protected the pillows 100% and washed great! Trust me when I say that if they survived the punishment I gave them, they will definitely do what they say. I was hesitant before because a reviewer asked how waterproof the zippered area was and explained that they decided to double it. I decided to give it a try anyway, and since I'm doing it to save money in a variety of ways, I didn't double it. Nothing got onto the pillow through the zipper, period. I am very happy. I send all my foster parents home with their "beds" forever so I will definitely be buying them again!
